This is crucial in our modern, diverse societies and hybrid work environments, where our opinions often dominate.Collaboration only really works well when you understand each other. We are often unaware of how deeply rooted our cultural values and norms are. Only in contact with other cultures we struggle with the differences and misunderstandings getting more and more. Awareness is essential to deal better with cultural diversity. As long as you are not aware of your own prejudices, you remain stuck in habits of daily practice and improvement does not develop.

Within teams and organisations, it is crucial that members feel safe and accepted, despite of underlying diversity. Conflicts due to differences can greatly undermine collaboration and results of performance. Training this as a team or in personal coaching can improve this.

Even objective data-analysis deals with the human factor of interpretations and interests of power. What purpose does the data get for the people in use? Pure technical analysis isn't enough. You have to understand the human interpretation to communicate the relevant data information.
If you want the cooperation of humans around you, you must make them feel they are important - and you do that by being genuine and humble.
